in making art

"in making art you bring your highest skills to bear upon the materials and the IDEAS (my caps and italics)
you most care about -" makes me feel good to read that someone else wrote what I try to do - validates me to myself to some extent

met a woman while walking with the dog in Stern Grove - holding the book ART & FEAR she commented on it and asked me if I was an artist - "big word" I replied - she agreed and told me she is an artist ...

what's better, more fun, more provocative, more satisfying, more important than bringing people together and learning from each other before we take off to do whatever else it is that we do

I enjoy sharing images and creatively using materials accessible to all

party girl?

when I was a 20+ art teacher I found that the most effective way of educating is to make it a joyous experience relevant to one's interests.

MY LIFE'S COMMITMENT HAS BEEN BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER IN A JOYOUS ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY ARE EXPOSED TO NEW IDEAS AND OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP NEW RELATIONSHIPS:  DEVELOPING COMMUNITY, ENABLING, OPENING  MINDS, WORKING TOGETHER

JOY IS A DEAD SERIOUS ATTITUDE AND I AM DEAD SERIOUS ABOUT ITS EFFECTIVENESS

I AM NOT A PARTY GIRL

on the lawn

I don't like conflict - why would anyone actually like it? who is it who likes conflict? what personality?

on the other hand
growth is a product of conflict
I'm wondering if that product is a reflection
of actions or personalities - both - of course

the manifestations of conflict are both positive and negative, of necessity - one side wins the other loses

I   "like everything to be positive" -
bottom line - there's always a relative positive
I want it
positive results come from a starting point of "1"
growth comes when "1" becomes more than "1"
"1" as a starting point is a point of strength - it is personal - fulfilling - owned
ownership is transferred and shared
